Vraj Vilas Haveli

Completed in 2026, Vraj Vilas Haveli is a landmark architectural project in Jetpur, Gujarat, commissioned by Priyankrai Bawa. Conceived as both a distinguished private residence and a welcoming spiritual destination, the project reinterprets the grandeur of traditional Vaishnav Haveli architecture through contemporary planning, thoughtful spatial organization, and meticulous craftsmanship.

The architectural expression is deeply rooted in India's rich heritage. Grand arched entrances establish a ceremonial presence at the ground level, while intricately crafted jharokhas, elegant jaali screens, and traditional chhatri pavilions give the façade its distinctive palatial character. Beyond their visual significance, these elements contribute naturally to ventilation, privacy, and climatic comfort throughout the building.

The planning of the haveli carefully balances private residential living with public spiritual functions. A dedicated and expansive devotional area accommodates daily prayers, religious ceremonies, and spiritual gatherings, creating a welcoming environment for visiting devotees and the wider congregation. Supporting pilgrim amenities have also been thoughtfully integrated to ensure the complex functions effectively as a spiritual destination.

At the same time, the residential wing has been carefully separated from the public devotional spaces to preserve the privacy and comfort of the family. Dedicated family areas and a traditionally planned Zanana Vibhag respect cultural customs while maintaining a clear distinction between private and public movement throughout the haveli.

Circulation and spatial zoning play an important role in bringing these different functions together. Residents, devotees, and visitors can move through the property intuitively while the architectural planning maintains privacy, accessibility, and a peaceful atmosphere across both residential and spiritual spaces.
